Italian Comment Spam?
I’m not surprised that the few posts here that google ranks relatively high (mostly my notes from RailsConf) get a fair amount of comment spam.
I’m not surprised that the spam comments are come ons for porno sites.
What I am surprised about is that all the spam comments are in Italian. Is the market for Italian pornography so strong that it pays for the spammers to be more intrepid than English, Spanish, French, or Russian spammers?
Also, I’m really happy that the akismet filter has marked all of the thousands of spam comments I’ve received correctly as spam and has yet to have a false positive.
